René Favaloro

Dr. René Gerónimo Favaloro, a cardiac surgeon of international fame, is rightly considered one of the pioneers of aortic-coronary bypass: he began his career at the age of 38 at the Hospital of Cleveland, Ohio, developing the bypass that has saved millions of lives.

He supported Cataldo during the years of his specialization at the National Heart Hospital in London, where he assisted Prof. Magdy Yacoub in cases of tetralogy of Fallot, atrioventricular canal defects, abnormal pulmonary venous return, coarctation of the aorta, pulmonary artery reconstructions, CIV, CIA and others.

Not only, Dr. Cataldo assisted Prof. Rene Favaloro, a cardiac surgeon of international renown, as well as Prof. Jean-Yves Neveaux at the University of Paris, not to mention Prof. Guy Jost, a surgeon who performed more rhinoplastic in Europe than anyone.
